GREEN SCHOOLS

10 primary schools from Singapore are recognised, alongside 1 primary school from Malaysia, at the inaugural Green Carpet Awards
2011. Schools serve as a crucial platform to mould the next generation of leaders to be socially responsible individuals. Schools also
facilitate the imparting of worthy ideas and values. Green Schools are schools, which have implemented the National Geographic
Environmental Education programme throughout their campus. These schools have clearly demonstrated their commitment to
environmental education, a soft skill pivotal to the 21st century world economy.
